Self Catering Cottages
Just below the castle stands a handsome 18th Century farmhouse, the original centre of the estate’s farming activities. The farmhouse has been skillfully converted with careful attention to conserving authenticity together with comfort and privacy, in a pleasant combination with communal living.
The very large fattoria, now contains eight charming apartments and 14 bedrooms B&B, furnished with original pieces.
The ground floor of the farm house opens onto the main terrace, which overlooks the swimming pool. On the ground floor, there is a large “taverna” with brick vaulted ceilings. The space is divided into three main areas: dining room, billiard room, ping-pong room, plus a large kitchen available for all the guests and equipped for cooking courses.

Firenze (6 Sleeps)
French doors open from the terrace into a large, light living room with a handsome fireplace, a beamed ceiling and a terracotta tiled floor. The furnishings are comfortable and traditional, with nice lamps, curtains and vintage prints. The separate custom-made kitchen of traditional tiles and heavy wooden doors has a dishwasher. The large downstairs shower room houses a washing machine. Uptairs the double bedroom overlooks the main terrace and garden. The furnishings are bright and pretty; a second more traditional twin-bedded room has beautiful antique furniture and the third has charming patchwork covers. There is plenty of storage space, room to relax, and a second shower room. This is cottage living in style.
Siena (4/5 sleeps)
This is the middle cottage, also on two floors and opens out onto the terrace through French doors. A little hallway leads into the attractive kitchen/dining room with a beautiful fireplace (washing machine and dishwasher). There is also a good shower room on this floor and the cheerful little sitting room overlooking the garden has green and white striped sofa beds. Upstairs are two delightful bedrooms - one with wrought iron twin beds and an elegant antique bamboo table and chairs. The second (a double room) has a stylish chaise longue and Toile de Jouy-faced wardrobe. A second shower room may also be found upstairs. Siena’s living accomodation is perhaps the simplest here but it has charm and character and particularly nice bedrooms.
Orvieto (4/5 Sleeps)
Formerly the factor’s house, this has the original fireplace and staircase. French doors open off the terrace into a comfortable sitting area. The dining area beyond is more separate and looks onto the garden. The kichen here is small but has everything you will need including a small dishwasher and washing machine. Also on this floor is a cloakroom and a pretty double bedroom with a brick vaulted ceiling, which overlooks the garden. Upstairs is a large, well-equipped shower room, and an attractive traditionally furnished bedroom. These are approached through a studio room which can be a study with a good desk and extra seating or the sofa bed can make up into a third bedroom. This arrangement makes Orvieto both comfortable and adaptable.
Civita (4 Sleeps)
Upon one floor. The main entrance is on the terrace, which overlooks the swimming pool. A charming living room\dining room with fireplace. Two nice bedrooms each one with a bathroom. A kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher with a service entrance.

A large living room/dining room with fireplace and a kitchen fully equipped. A long corridor leads into 4 double bed rooms furnished with original iron beds and cupboards. Each bed room has its own bathroom.

On one floor, part of an independent cottage with a private patio and a separate private swimming pool to be shared with the other apartment in the cottage. A charming living\dining room and two lovely ensuite bedrooms. A kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher and with a service entrance.
