At Santa Cristina on request our catering service can prepare delicious meals for you on given dates. You just have to ask in advance.
Otherwise if you wish to eat outside the Castle we can propose you a list (avaliable at the reception of the castle) of restaurants we personally selected. They are usually situated in the villages nearby the Castle. You will discover the warmth of the local people, their authentic and genuine hospitality and, of course, the fantastic local recipes.
Here in Tuscia, many of the local towns and villages have, a summer “Sagra”. This is a festival of food, when you can go along and make your choice from a simple menu and eat, usually on long trestles toghether with the locals. These special events are normally fairly well advertised in the villages on small posters.
“Sagre” are usually held in the local town squares, or an adjacent field. Sometimes there is also entertainment, such as bands or dancing. These celebrations are a pleasant change from normal restaurants and prove to be extremely entertaining.
