Restaurant Service
At Santa Cristina the catering service is performed by our expert chef Franco Mechilli who can prepare delicious meals for you every day.
The restaurant is located in the taverna at the bottom level of the main farmhouse and in the summer on the terrace overlooking the swimming pool.
Here you will find traditional Italian cuisine and local specialties accompanied by a few new delicious recipies for those ready to explore their gastronomical frontiers .
We have a fixed half board menu at € 25 / person for adults and a special menu for children at € 15 with delicious pasta or pizza.
At lunch a light menu can be served as a buffet at only € 20 /person.
The service works on a previous reservation basis so we just need a few hours notice in order to prepare your delicious meal . You just have to remember to book your table at the reception or with the chef himself at the restaurant .
If you wish to eat outside the Castle we can propose you a list (avaliable at the reception of the castle) of restaurants we personally selected. They are usually situated in the villages nearby the Castle. You will discover the warmth of the local people, their authentic and genuine hospitality and, of course, the fantastic local recipes.
Here in Tuscia, many of the local towns and villages have a summer “Sagra”. This is a festival of food when you can go along and make your choice from a simple menu and eat usually on long trestles together with the locals.
“Sagre” are usually held in the local town squares, or an adjacent fields. Sometimes there is also entertainment, such as bands or dancing. These celebrations are a pleasant change from normal restaurants and prove to be extremely entertaining.
